Hei,
Here we are, right into the action!
So, I began my adventure this week end by going to the Scientific Station of La Malinche (SSLM). We left friday evening to spend the night and the two following days in the station.
We arrived by a cold and very dark night, which is important to say because right now, there is no electricity in the buildings, so no light.
Well, so after a good and cold night, we woke up at 6 am to start the rabbit monitoring so that we spent 2h30 in a tent with Ivan to look at the traps to see a movement. And we didn't.
That's why we went to have breakfast at 10. We spent the afternoon cleaning the shed.
Then, at 2 pm and 4 pm, we ate and had coffee. Right after the lunch (at 4) Jorge trapped a rabbit, so we could make the measures.
We then spent 3h30, from 5.30 to 9 pm in the tent, in the cold and dark night again. But we can't see an animal.
The day after, on Sunday, we again woke up at 6 and spent 3h in the tent with Ivan. Then we had breakfast and we cleaned the other buildings. Finally, we came back to Tlaxcala.
Important note. Here, in Tlaxcala, we are at 2600m high and the Station is at 3100m. That's why the 30-meter-running I made made me breathless for some minutes... :)
